I like the ‘Reload’ version due to the realism; but not being a Counter Strike player (most likely already making my opinions invalid), I’m under the impression that the ‘Recharge’ is needed for different game modes. What if we combined the two? Visually you are reloading the weapon, but it’s as long as the recharge (the character is struggling to pull the spent cartridge out).

I don’t like having it reload. I always saw the Zeus as a bit of a novelty, high risk high reward weapon. One shot at a hit in very close range for an instant kill. I think a slow recharge is fine even if it’s not realistic. Given the speed of a CS match, you’re not going to have time to be thumb sucking in a corner over and over waiting for your refill. Unrelated but I’m surprised the Zeus is even still in the game, as it feels it would be something thrown out the moment some e-sports Titan bitches about get killed by it and calling it an OP noob weapon.

I liked the way it used to be. Fire one shot automatically droped & switched to primary. Switch was so quick, and you could shot second enemy or if you missed quickly shot one instead. Now it's not that convenient 😢

I think the recharge makes it more true to the original, while making it a more viable choice and being a more interesting mechanic in general.

Recharge makes sense gameplay wise so you aren't shooting it every time you can, so it forces you to use it moderately. Reload after a shot would be a bit annoying to deal with since people can spam it. Like kill one then retreat if you didn't pick up the gun and then prepare for the second shot to instantly kill another person.

Remember when in high school, my friends and I regullary went to "cabinas de internet" (cyber cafes, but not cafe, only junk food and low end gaming pcs) after the classes end, we always played counter strike and dota, the machines looked like no one has ever cleaned them in years (probably accurate statement), the smell and the heat of both the machines and the variety of college students, high schoolers, and even full grown adults playing there, yeah, they weren't the best place to play, but still i hold them deeply in my heart, the memories, the rages, the laughs, the times we won, or even when we lost and had to pay the junk food of the other team.... beautiful times man. Like a lan party but the third world version The social factor of playing games like that with your friends is better than anything discord or teamspeak can provide.

Why'd they make the maps so different? Like, you start off at the entrance of Sector C Anomalous Materials, next thing you know, a scientist gets crushed by a door and the freaking Resonance Cascade happens. Then, after some more walking and fighting, you're in the goddamn Lambda Complex. WHY?

Funny how they say "that's what keeps a game thriving" (working on a game for as long as they can). What the fuck, Turtle Rock hardly TOUCHED L4d2 after launch and it's still going insanely strong, hell, the player count is going UP in recent years. This is how out of touch these fucking developers and marketers are. They want to provide a game "as a service" and not a game as a complete project. Make a good fucking game, release it, fix any bugs or exploits and leave it the fuck alone. Don't pretend like you have a vision and are working on it when really all you're doing is fucking winging it because you don't want to get fired for being the mediocre dev you are.

by not comparing B4B to L4D, B4B is still a really bad game - the gameplay is not impactful, the gun shooting feel like the average global elite with an AK47, the combat is lame because everything is either a bullet proof vest or bullet sponge, the movement is also janky as hell, the game mechanic also suck, every grenade has one job and it can't even do the minimum, every automatic weapons do the same thing, the only differences between the shotguns is either they are automatic or not, other than that, they all do the same thing, all melee do the same thing - the aestetic of the game just look downright unfinished, the gun reload look absolutely atrocious, the zombie animation is taking straight on Mixamo, everything look so gross, unclear and clutter, i can't make out what i was looking 9/10 time, the gun is too close to the crosshair, so goodbye aiming, you either got block by the silencer or the muzzleflash, pick your poison - the character has no personality at all, non of the humor landed, they saw a spectacular explosion in the distance and all they can say is : f*ck yeah, no notable voice line, when get healed they moan a bit and then say thank with the most generic tone ever

this was the first game i got when i got my Xbox both on my birthday.

I've spent many hours playing the original fy_pool_day on CS 1.6 at computer clubs. The rounds were so quick it almost felt like a deathmatch mode. There was also a fy_pool_night map, with the same setting but at night and all the weapons on the ground were replaced by grenades - leading to total mayhem and rounds that lasted seconds :D

I would always take the reload. The loading makes no sense and takes waaaaaaaaay too long in this game. You could dump an entire magazine from an AK, reload and still be faster than the Zeus.

I once pressed z and then 2 after helping a guard kill a bunch of headcrabs. This bind is to say thanks in team fortress 2 and so I basically treated an npc like a real person. I actually kinda get sad when an npc dies in hl1 or hl2, and so I try to reload saves to have the least amount of casualties as I possibly can.

I hope they add Seal team 6 again in HD format …. The old models in Csgo had multicam camo , pvs15 nvg , fast helmet with nvg battery pack , IR strobe , crye precision combat pants etc and the balaclava with Oakley combat glasses .

These are not zombies they look nothing like them l4d 1 and 2 done it right and that was just 1 reason why i hated this back4blood game plus the crap card system these devs just got this all wrong with this game and with wrong gameplay mechanic's and enemies. the only best thing i can say was better than left4dead was the visuals and that's it. I would be so happy for a new remaster of l4d 1 and 2 done right

So much nostalgia from L4D2. It was the first game I had on Steam.

L4D characters had relationships, their dialogue changed on locations. It was always a blast to learn about the characters through the dialogue they had not character cringe trailer of established characters. Also L4D characters seem like normal everyday character, B4B trying really hard with "these are badass characters." Such boring Mary Sue characters. A zombie survival game shouldn't be about empowered characters it should be about characters barely hanging onto a thread fighting down to the last bullet and dragging their bleeding torn up bodies to a safe room. The bleakness of the situation just made it a lot more rewarding to reach a safehouse and hearing that iconic thrilling victory music.

As a L4D2 fan I say good riddance.

This game was a puzzle game with different scenarios requiring different build orders to survive. Much like Frostpunk, there is only one correct way to play every map and some locations are best avoided entirely due to contentment penalties. That said it was a good puzzle game with a lot of different scenarios so, in the end, I felt it was worth it. There's just zero replayability.

RTS unit barks have always been important to me, and I think Blizzard kinda ruined me, because their games have always had SO MUCH character to them. I later played Supreme Commander, and while it is a great game, every unit felt rather generic and I kinda lost interest partly because of that.

My first LAN party I went in 2021 sucked :(
